I think the "tilt" is just an optical illusion, caused by the full and empty elements in the scene. I get the same feeling, but I think if you put a grid on, it would become clear that it is level.

Dear Angelo: this is a very special place,it is a set of sculptures, gardens, landscape, trees,it is not fair or sensible to take just one only to show a picture not "busy".The place is like it was done by its creator, not by photo critics. If I want to show that place- I want - I must show it?s entity, not a bit or a fragment. On the "tilt", I must say the time I was concerned with that is over.I just do not care.I assumme my point, everybody can beat me , but I just am not that impressed with tilt or not.I feel free to concentrate on the subject and not on the level.
Thanks for your comment, you know how to do, you know how to comment.I like your comments...but you need bet be so respectful...
Regards
jorge

Caro Jorge,

Bela imagem.

Respeitosamente,
Angelo.

Jorge, this is superb. It looks like my dreams of fantasy. Beautiful, other worldly. I think God learned how to paint his skies in Bom-Jesus.

First you may say I took your comments in a funny way, never tetchy.I assume one is free to critic,it?s your right. You?ve that chance as I have mine to "reply".You did not like my reply? Who do not accept critics ,you or me ? I do not care about that tilt, i did not change my picture, because , to me ,who don?t care with rules,it was not important.
On the "busy" it was obvious I want to show all the place.Mark critic was not on the "busy" , but on wide angle. He understood my picture, you did not.Again, equal rights,I am prepared to read comments I do not agree with- like yours- but I have the right to reply and present my opinion. Was I clear?
Best regards
jorge

Perhaps Al should provide a box to click 'NO CRITIQUE' as well. Some people just can not take any critisims about their images.

If people do not agree with the opinion expressed, just brush it off. On the other hand if you take a bit of time to think about it - you will see what others are blabering about. I did, many a times. I am better off for it.

On top of that, one should not be so tetchy !!! if he is going to post his work in a public gallery. Some will say its superb and others might call it a crap. Thats the nature of the game.

Please read Mark's comment - essentialy the same opinion. I bet you never saw the tilt untill I pointed out. Believe me I never noticed these things untill someone told me so.

'Busy' - yes. Too many things all over the place pulling my eyes and distracting. How you can change it - just move a bit to change the composition to have one main subject and place every thing else around it. Simple.

A private gallery where no one ever visits will be a great alternate if you do not like critisim.

Regards,ken.

Hi Mark, you, english speaking people are very lazy, you just speak your everyday words all over the world, when we, the others, have our way to understand from greek to russian, just by pure instint.
Tilt? Before that I would look, as you did , to all over the place.Yes, an wide angle ,fine, a fish-eye,better. In a Coolpix 5700 , wonderful!
We used to say, who has no dog chases with a cat...
Regards, my friend ,

Bom-Jesus means Good Jesus.Busy? You must complain to the famed architect Carlos Amarante, who design the place. But I?m affraid he?ll not listen to you. Your opinion is not up to his fame and he?s now dead.Tilted? I?m very sorry, but be sure, the "busy" place will not fall down the hill.
Thanks for visiting and made some funny comments.
Best regards
jorge

Yes, I was wondering about the name Bom-Jesus as Ken mentioned. And I also agree with him about the slight tilt to the left. Perhaps to convey the downward slope of the hillside? There is so much to see. It's something I would love to spend a whole day at and just make photographs. But I would definitely take a wide-angle lens.

Nice image even though it looks quiet busy and bit tilted to the left.

I am intregued by the name - born jesus. What is it about?

Regards,
ken.
