About As some of my pictures, this photo shows the bad or dark side and the good or light side on a person.Every person has a dark and a light side, let?s hope that the dark side is looking away as much as we can, so the light side could confront everybody with truth.
I had posted a similar picture called Ying-Yang About White, and I wasn?t sure which one is a stronger photograph, so I decided to post them both and let you comment on them.
I appreciate your comments! Please be sincere. I really like photography, and I?m willing to learn as much as I can from your feedback. Thanks! :)

Added comment.... how about... the same model for both positions... differing facial expressions and the superimposed... I simply like the idea behinf your original creation and keep coming back...

The idea behind the capture is awfully good... but IMO I would have the negative space instead of the pillow at the top as on the bottom...

the quality is stupendous...otherwise!

Adriana,
I like this one..both photos are very well done but the tighter crop seems stronger.
As always, creative and excellent.

The question, which is the dark side, which is the light. Photography is about perception, i percieve more "bad" intent in the light character-the eyes seem decietful. The dark or "good" character seems more introspective and deep in thought. i get no feeling of harm coming my way from the dark cahracter. the light is less flattering to the dark character. The light character seems to know how to use her beauty to get what she wants. The light, character is seducing the camera, with intent.
This image is powerful because it brings the duality of the individual to light. We all have masks we put on to manipulate the preceptions of others. We reveal ourselves only rarely to a few.
Nice image,
Rick

hi, i like the concept, but have a few probs. with this comp..the lady in white has flattering lighting and position (but where are her legs?)..the lady in black has an unflattering pose of the face/chin and too much shadowing...maybe try this horizontally? (just an opinion)..regards,gayle
