About This is a macro shot of a Cicada. (locust) In the midwest we have been hit with them very hard this year. They come every 17 years and only stay about 2 weeks but we are ready for them to leave! LOL I did get this shot of one of them...I know it is a bit out of focus here and there but they are not large creatures and I find the detail in this shot shows me even more than I wanted to know....lol

You have a really nice macro here. There are lots of great colors and wonderful details. I just find the foreground a little distracting and the bug seems a little bit overexposed. Keep up the good work.
Thanks you for your comment. I love my F65 as it's very light, good for carrying around on hikes.

Actually Chris the macro lens makes it possible to take my shot from a decent distance away which made it better for me and my feeling of not wanting to be too close to this ugly thing either...lol

This is truly an alien-lifeform looking insect, great close-up, they must not have much fear of humas to allow you to get so close,

Chris
