About The last time we were in St. Ives the light was a little better, but I only managed 4 in a row!! I'll load up the original to give you another example of how badly wrong the metering on my new Nikon was!!

I well remember the three-in-a-row, and had the place fixed from the thumbnail. You have D100 trouble, and my SCANNER has gone on the blink. No way to get my Voyageur negs posted, nor my TX-1 shots. Argh! Hard to be dependent on computerized THINGS, isn't it! You did well to get such a good looking result from an initial shot like that...

HI Chris,
This neat line of boats draws you right into the image for even more interesting things to see. Love the houses, I guess maybe they are apartments.

Another interesting thing I noticed (after the great composition) is the yellow on the middle boat balanced with the yellows in both foreground and background!!

Very nice...so, do you get the meter fixed or is that just the way it IS???

Lori :)

Oh yes, it's a quite big difference! Have you given it back for good or will they just "fix" it?

Anyway, very beautiful photo and lovely composition of lovely place! I recognise this place... Was this where you told once that you grew up?

lovely shot,Chris
nice detail on the houses in the background.
Dont worry about your shot coming our dark.
You got a very expensive slr camera and they need postprosessing most of the time.
With point and shoot cameras you would have overexposed white and white sky.

Nice angle of view. Great PS work. A lot of my original images look like this but you don't have to worry about overexposed highlights. Don.
