About I have been using my daughter as a model for refining my portrait work. I used a G-40 flash set for reduced power for fill lighting. Camera was mounted on a tripod and remote control was used to trigger the shutter. Camera was in manual mode and exposure was bracketed in half-stop increments. The dog had little patience for this. Next time I'll bring skewers.

Hi George, your daughter is beautiful. Thank you for commenting on my photo, I am glad to be of help. I hope your daughter does not think I am some kind of ,I don't know what, with me taking my own photos, especially the nudes.
I love my camera. I am still learning about it. I have had it since September. A friend of mine got me into photography and I can't get enough of it now.
I set my timer on 10 seconds, turn the LCD screen out so I can see myself and set up a pose. I hit the shutter button and wait. It gives me enough time to get prepared. I love that I can see what I am doing and I can see the pic after it has been shot so I can adjust stuff on the camera or background. I have my veiwing set on 4seconds and that gives me time to check things out.
Anyway, I feel good about my pics and doing them myself. People say it is hard to do self-portraits, and maybe in a way they are but I find it ok. No to difficult now with the remote and all. anyway, good luck with your daughter and hope she has fun with it. If either one of you have questions feel free to email me at syscogirl02@yahoo.com. I am glad to help in any way. Rona

I am not allowed to comment on this. MM (my Lovely wife) tells me I am too old to say the things I want to say! I do so like the short-hair look! Great shot. And she looks comfortable doing the posing.

Thank you for your kind remarks. I'll never knock portrait photography again. There's just so much detail that requires attention.

Nice sharp capture, good tones, clarity and subject matter.
