About The taegeuk appears on the Korean flag, it is an ancient Taoist symbol of harmony. This wooden door was taken at the Sebyeonggwan which is believed to be one of the oldest existing wooden building in Korea dating from 1603. This door would date from a much later period, probably as late as the 1950s.
