For natural light this is brilliant Gerhard. Hows the EOS 1D Mk II going by the way. Canon have lent me one for a week but I have only been shooting test scenes so far. ps. I noticed quite a bit of dust in your shot in the background :) Its a massive problem with macro work. Dust that is completely invisible in normal scenes, just leaps out when you use the macro lenses!

To capture a fly, all you need is ...honey. As far as 'perfect'...well, I've found most of them to be insensitive and self-centered. ;)
I see you've cranked your aperature down as far as you could, so not any more on the depth of field. You nailed the exposure on this, Gerhard.
