Excellent shot. Inclusion of your friend gives the perspective of the enormous landscape. Precariously hanging rock and the man on top of it makes it more dynamic.

I climbed the face here about 20 years ago and came up just below this lookout on Half Dome. And yes indeed this is a very exposed spot! It's called "the Visor". Nice photo and congrats on your friends courage.

Hi Stefan, appreciate your comments. About the overexposed sky, this picture was setup in a couple of mins and I didnt have time to snap up the Grad4 filter. My friend wasnt ready to spend a lot of time there as the view was dizzing.

Nice separation of foreground and background and this photo conveys a good sense of scale just in general. Too bad on the blown-out sky.
