Hi Zandra, thanks for the comment. I think the cone gives the scene a more "real" look. I agree that cropping the top would drive attention to the sidewalk and stairs. Usually I don't crop the images I post here so that opinions are always welcome and can show me other visions of that image. Also, I prefer to compose when shooting than only cropping later. Nothing against cropping, but from a better composition you stay away from some side effects cropping may bring, light grain in excess from greater enlargements, for example. It was the light and shadows that drew my attetion to this one. Especially the stairs are catching my attention. I've been thinking, wheater or not i would like to have the red cone removed or not. After a while, think not as it adds just that tiny touch of colour that is needed. I think this would work pretty well without the tree tops too. Wonder if that would not add extra focus to the beautifull light.
