About My 3 year-old is mostly very good with his new sister. Still, we need to keep an occasional eye on him..;)

Trish, the amount of graininess seems to depend on how I process the film scan in Photoshop. It doesn't disappear completely, but I can either emphasize or de-emphasize it. My scanner also has the capability of smoothing out grain (I'm still experimenting with the latter though). Regards..:)

I love the tenderness here. His hand on her little head makes the shot...very nice!

how did you take the grain out of the photo?

Thanks, I see what you mean! I'm pretty divided myself. Maybe I'll have to actually print it to make up my mind. Thanks again..:)

It's me again...

I think I like the less grainy version better. From what I can tell the grainier version covers what little detail is in the shadow of the baby's face.

Either version is great.

I prefer the less grainy one (although it still has enough grain in ti to make it have that classic feel). I just adore this shot Michael.....so full of love and gentleness....very well done!

I adore the grain. I think it really enhances the timeless mood and feel, when coupled with the black and white.

Maravillosa, well done, lovely kids :)

Nope. Actually, the grainy version is the way my thumbnail/portfolio software displays it. I can reduce the graininess in Photoshop when I open the file (i.e., selecting a higher "dot density"). Thanks for the comments and question..:)

I really like this crisper one better but it is all a matter of personal taste. Either way....it is a very sweet, tender moment and great shot.

This is a great capture of a sweet and tender moment between the protective big bro and his little sis!

(Did you add the grain post-processing?)

Tri-X tends to be grainy. I can smooth it out somewhat in most cases, but I kind of like the grain. Attached is a less grainy version. Do you/others like it better?

Less grainy version

What a sweet shot...it is a bit grainy though.
