Dirck, I took about 10 shots of this old mail box, and cropped a few of those too.. for some reason, the image seemed unbalanced if the box didn't have a few of those little white flowers on the bottom too. Initially, I thought the same thing. And remembering the rule of 9's, I tried putting the box in a correct position. Again, in the big scheme of things, gut instict or personal preference, it stayed here . lol.. Wmen can be so tenacious! :)

Aww - I was going to say something about the short people of Rustburg (who drive cool, old cars!) but you beat me to it in your about! :) Your choice of sepia here is excellent! As I was scrolling the picture vertically, I saw an alternate crop, cutting off just below the mailbox, that I think would work nicely, too. Nicely done!

Superb capture of a simple thing yet so great in both the prospective and skill. You have done a great work turning it in such color mood. Cheers Rebecca.

This is beautiful Rebecca, it just shimmers and glitters with the sunlight on the wild flowers and the rich gold tones are superb. The simplicity of it is amazingly lovely.

Happens all the time up here, but do you have snowplows in Virginia????? Really nice toning on this one Rebecca. Do you have any close-ups? By the way thanks for the kind comment on my Lighthouse #2 shot ..... if you are serious use my mailbox at www.bayphotoclub.com to give me your e-mail. I have never sent anything of print quality, but I can try.
