This is one of the coolest Manhattan pix I've seen in a long time. One for the favorite list.

Hey Giorgio! The NYC Marathon is awesome. I run it last year and will do the same this year. But this time with a small camera (maybe my LOMO) to snap some impressions. Take care! C.

Hi Carlheinz, cool view with a different perspective. I suppose with you as the photographer and using the Lomo it's bound to be different, but that's what i like about it. Keep em coming! Best wishes - Neil

Carlheinz...been a while since I've looked-in on your portfolio. And...Alas! A winning image. It creates within my soul a sense of being in a dream, where everything is not pinpoint sharp (as it is in a waking state) and everything happens in 1/2 speed slow motion. The effect of the toy camera lens gives me this feeling. Rather surreal and dream-like. Well done, my man! Regards, Rik

Hi Carlheinz, Different subject from what I'd expected when I looked at the tumbnail and recognised the Lomography trade marks (mixed with your style, of course) I actually find it refreshing. The composition, using the grass in front to complete the skyline remove the two layers, that are generally there with these kinds of shots. The cloud in the sky also helps in that respect. Maybe the blue tone is a bit over done, but I guess that's also a quality of the Lomo. Tuning it down a bit would've fitted better in this image, I think. Very intriguing shot...
Cheers,
Hugo

nice composing with the grass in the foreground and the abondoned city in the back. the clouds on the upper left form a great contrast to the rest of the picture. Does anyone say Tchernobyl?
take care, Thilo
