wonderful landscape. I agree that straightening the horizon is probably better than straightening the dock...however, I like that the horizon falls right in the middle of the picture and I also like the color. I wouldn't want to get rid of the blues of the sky and water and the green in the horizon.

Hi Kevin, I like shot and it excellent place to take pictures. I like the way the dock is leading my eyes. However, I would change this picture a little bit:
1. as Eric said the dock was not parallel with the horizon - I think that the dock can always be crooked and the horizon never, so I suggest to straighten the horizon; 2. I would crop the image - the horizon divides the picture into two almost identical in size half - I would change that to stress the sky 3. I would convert the picture to b&w and use a red filter - it would stress the sky ones again and add some more drama
You can see the effect just below.
best regards

Nice clouds and sky. The dock works well leading the eye into the print. Unfortunately, the fact that the dock is not parallel with the horizon adds a bit of an unsettling element to the picture for me and takes away from the tranquility of the scene. It's a nice shot, but in this case the little things definitely make or break the photo. Eric
