thank you for your answer, Tim. Yes I forgot that all of us have different monitors and usually this is the reason we see different the same picture. It is a pity because sometimes we can not see exactly what the author wants to show us. Unfortunately we can not jump over it. I am used to watch my pictures on my wall (I do usually slides) and there is no such problem.
best regards Łukasz

Hi Lukasz, Yes all I do is wander around looking for images as its my job. As an artist of landscape paintings I need to go out and get as much inspiration as is possible in order to come home and create something I like. also on my monitor I can see the details in the dark areas fine. The one thing I noticed when looking at my wife's monitor on another computer was that the same images looked VERY different as her setting were different then mine as was her brand of monitor. So what is apparent to me is that what you see may be very different then what I see. Anyway not to take away from what you are saying the image is kind of punchy and that the highlights on the rocks are distracting from the focus of the summit trees. This photo was taken last year at about this time of the year. I have a polarizer on it as well. This would be a grand place to be around sunset but it was quite a hike in and would take hours in the night to get out. Maybe if we had a tent. Hey thanks for your support and interest. Cheers

Hi Tim, you must have plenty of time and wonderful surroundings :-); I wish I was there; I like your composition and colors - when was this picture taken? I found the contras between bright and dark parts of image a little bit too strong - in consequences it is hardly possible to see something in the shadows - there are no details (or maybe this is compression). Did you use any filter (like polarizer)? I think it could help. I am also wondering how this scene looks at the sunset or sunrise
