This is a multiple exposure using a tripod, the initial exposure was taken of the sunset the camera left on the tripod until the fireworks went off approx 1hr later, as this was taken on slide film the camera was reset but the slide was left in position the lens was set to time exposure and I guessed the approx amount of exposure during the firework display, I put my hand accross the lens and moved it to capture the burst. The final slide was scanned to make a digital image. The scan unfortunately was not as good as expected, but I still love the shot.
Hi Gary... Great picture you got here... I love how the fireworks reflect in the water... The colors are just perfect... and you froze the momemtum real good... If this is not as good as you expected... I really with to do what you expected... These is a real work of art...

Hi Gary,
Fantastic photo. I love it!!! You did a really good work here. You say the photo is not what you expected, I say is Darn Good. Now I wonder how it would have been if it came the way you expected it.
