Yes, the top of the hat is 'burned' but I don't care too much for the rules. The high contrast looks great here and turns what was undoubtedly a warm scene into something much more challenging to the mind of the viewer. Isn't there a song about 'mother's little helper'? Don't need those when you've got that camera around!
