About	Please somebody help me with my photographs. This photo is perfectly clear but when I scan it it, it seems blurry. Please let me know how I can improve my photos.....thanks

Jack,
Make sure you're staying within the optical range of your scanner. Scan it in at 200 or 300 dpi, and see if that helps.

The bird is not blurry but there seems to be a loss of detail between the bird and the sky.
One thing to try would be to add some fill flash on the bird or, to add some exposure compensation to adjust for the brightness of the sky.

The bird doesn't seem blurred to me and I think the blurred background is a nice touch because it helps you focus on the bird.

Maybe you scanner is old, if so consider getting a new one.
