Very nice timing on this.

I really enjoy the purple hues in the sky while the lightning struck.

Very interesting pattern it created.

Nice job on this.

Ameed. u mean that i leave the camera on the tripod and leave it to shot once in a while, like one shot every 1 min. or something? its an option in my camera but i didnt try to use it in this case too. i think the spart in the sky moves and u never know where it gona hit but u can make sence and follow them . so this will require changing camera position so u have to be there.. anyway, its a v.good idea i will try it in the comming days.. we still have rain and thunders :)

Thank you everyone for the incouraging comments:)
Ameed, yes i use self timer when i shot steel life in low lighting and sometimes portraits but i didnt use it in this case becuase i was afried to lose much time. i kept all night waiting for a shot like this and i took nearly 80 of a 10sec. shots! do u think u can use self timer for 80 shots of 10sec. that would be a jail :)) thanks brother

Wawwwwwwwwwwww, now you are talking babyyyyyyyyyyy .. very nice capture, actually Ahmed i found a better idea in spite of the remote release, you can set it for a short 5 sec timer or more, leave the camera on the tripod and it will take the picture by it self, i think this kind of picture is taken randomly so you never know when it will light, so try it with a timer, i think i will try this my self one day, very well done, regards,

Great shot! I too, have tried to get a lightning shot. Unfortunately, my digital does not have a slow enough setting, and I've all but put my old wet cameras away. I'll have to get them back out, just to get one like this! Excellent capture!
