Bill, thanks for your comment. I agree about the cage but, under the circumstances there was little I could do about it, the same goes for the frame, as he was heading into an enclosure I only had time for a few shots and this was the best one of the lot. Plumpton Park Zoo is a small privitly owned zoo in Rising Sun, MD. They have limited resources so the conditions the animals live in arnt as good as many larger zoo's. This is a tough one for me...hate to see the cage/fence, Very tough lighting conditions...Watch your frame, you have plenty of room on top but cut the paws..hope this helps as construction comments...Oh,you had a question on the bird image I submitted today ,,,,is some sort of a Crimson Finch..taken in South Florida! I agree with DB, animals like this end up looking pathetic in captivity. some can tolerate it but not mammals like this. and they pace and pace. sorry thats my view. jimc

So sad to see in zoos..these animals do not look good in cages do they.... poor guy...These animals spirts and souls really show thru their eyes..
