About This is my first attempt at an intentional blurry image ... so please let me know what you think and where I went wrong and maybe even what I did right :-)

This was a karate training camp that I happened to come across while visiting a local shopping centre.

This training camp took in place in a very large white marquee with daylight streaming in through the openings. Jostling for photographic position was also difficult as we were not allowed to stand on the practice carpet. All in all though I had a great time - and that is what counts, right? :-)

The blur shows great movement and the title is perfect. Well done Linn.

Yowch!!
Reminds me of the time when, as a boy of about 15, I was thrown by a hulking great woman at judo class and ended up with a broken shoulder!! (I think she used an 'ippon seonage'!!)
Great title and a great blurry image, Linn!!
Kind regards, Chris

Yes, the title is quite a mouthful, isn't it? :-))

Jim ... I tried a LOT of settings. Actually, I was almost ready to give up when I finally found the "magical" setting and then I just shot away. I got over 100 images but they are just such a mess. Too bright in the far background (sunlight coming in) or just too many feet and making the image look untidy. I am working on another one but doubt whether I will post it because there are too many distractions.

Can you perhaps recommend the ideal setting for blurry images? I would like to go back and give it another try.

Linn

IF nothing else this photo should get " Title of the Year " And yes having fun is what its all about. Didi you try different shutter speeds to see the effects ?
