This is absolutely gorgeous, Kim! Amazing range of colors in the sky, from green and gold to purple and blue, and I just love the texture of the rocks in the foreground! I agree that the lower-left would be nice a little brighter, but this is an awesome photo!

Thanks so much Dave, for the comment! I am getting a ton of 5x7's done this week and this image is one of them... I'll re-scan with the larger print and hopefully be able to upload a cleaner image.
>> Marty... it can have a loneliness here for sure.. you're so far removed from anyone and everything.. no phones, cell phones don't work (thank god!) and only the occassional sound of a vehicle. Thanks so much for the comment!

Fine color, moody landscape. Pictoral understatement makes this more powerful, in my view. Oversharpening artefact unfortunately damages the electronic version. This one would definitely be on my wall.... It's another place I would like to return to once more.

Kim, this may not have been the spectacular sunset you hoped for, but it's absolutely lovely. Beautiful composition, great depth and sharpness from the rocks in the foreground to the mountains, and shimmering reflections. You can be proud of this one. :)

Sue! It's great to hear from you! Thanks for the comment... I've been testing out a new way of uploading pictures (I've dubbed it "If it could take longer, I dare you) in which I project the slide onto the wall, take a digital picture of it, upload the picture to my work computer, email to my home computer, work on it in PS and then upload to Usefilm. The lower left on the slide has quite a bit of detail, but while capturing the digital picture I lost some detail down there. Thanks for the comment, and I'm glad you like the tree line... it's my fave part too!

Nicely captured, Kim, although a little dark to the lower left. The silhouettes of the trees are truly what makes this image grab the viewer. Wish the mountains were a bit more prominent, but hey, that's reality, man!
Marvelous!

A moody lancscape indeed! You've caught it beautifully, and it sounds like just in time! Dave.
