About	My eldest boy took this on a roadtrip the two of us had on our recent visit to the UK. I would have taken it but I was driving at the time and he being 15 years old with his limited permit is NOT allowed to drive in the UK. I like the way this photo captures the pylons marching across the landscape - a bit like Ents I suppose. Thank you Tolkien! This photo was taken on the Woodhead pass which traverses the Pennines.

Imagine the beauty of this landscape without the marching pylons. Oh well, I guess we all need electricity, don't we? Great photo all the same Gabrielle!

Just above where your son took this photo, the cables dive underground through a disused rail tunnel, back towards Yorkshire/ Sheffield.

In my opinion they should have kept the cables underground all the way, they are so ugly and spoil a really beautiful valley.

Again - this is the route I take to work most mornings.

Your son did a good job of photographing these powerline towers. Whenever I see these towers like this, they remind me of science-fiction robots marching across the landscape.
