About First time trying out this film. I like the results, considering I developed it myself and it was 2 years out of date. I'm curious to see how a fresh roll with pro developing turns out!

I see now, makes sense! I haven't magnified anything yet! If I can find something to black out my window with today, I might give it a go this weekend after I read up on printing a little more.

Mag means to magnify it all the way by raising the enlarger head to the very top. Or, you can project the image onto a wall by turning the enlarger head sideways. That way, your only limit is the intensity of your light bulb, and how stable your enlarger is from shaking.

D-76? Amazing, I oughta try it. I might still have two packs of Technidol LC stowed away the past ten years or so. Don't know if it's still good. But I'll mail it to you. I just hope it's not rotten.

Mag it? What does that mean? I developed this in D-76. It's still that first batch I mixed up a few months ago. Thought I'd see what happens when you mix old developer & expired film!

I can't decide if I like this one or the other. MGM mentioned the grain, and I agree with him. Usually, grain doesn't show in Tech Pan unless you mag it to the hilt. Or, you used a developer other than Kodak Technidol LC. But then if you did, the contrast would be off the scale. It must be the fact that the film's expired. The tonal range is gorgeous, though. Reminds me of Ilford Pan F @ 25ASA. Great work, Christine. This one should've been BIP come to think of it.

Michael, I'm not sure what speed the film is, it doesn't say on the box that I can see. I think the grain is actually due to the noise from the scanner & then sharpening. My scans from 35mm film are always a little on the soft side, and need a boost in contrast.

Is this the 320 speed stuff? The grain is a little strange, but the lighting and tonality of this image are superb. Nicely done..:)
