I look forward to each new posting from you, Patrick, and today was again very rewarding. A really lovely image, anchored strongly in the foreground (as so many of your images are), with shimmering water reflecting delicate sky colours, and a distant horizon, giving it a great sense of perspective. I note that you often make use of ND gradient filters (and sometimes special warming or polarizing filters). I wonder if the former are responsible for the darker skies and lighter reflections I often notice in your work and never encounter myself...?

Nice work. A good colorscape. I have a couple minor complaints but nothing too serious. The horizon is a bit bowed but that can add to a shot. As mentioned previously the 2 stop ND grad might have been a little too much again that is a matter of personal preference. The other item is the beam under the water. For me that takes away from the overall feel of the image. All of that said I still find it a very pleasing image. Really nice work.

I'm a bit distracted by the uneven exposure. The sky in the reflection is quite a bit brighter than the actual sky in the background. In addition the trees along the lake are quite subdued by comparison to the green grass in the foreground. I wonder if using a 1 stop Grad ND filter would have helped with this. Otherwise superbly composed and captured. Really nice photo.
