Scott-This is Washington States native cutthroat trout and we do have rainbows,brook,and german brown trout. They have developed a new trout her called a Triploid. Its sterile fish that never spawns and just grown so they can get huge. I caught one this year over 25 pounds but most are 6 to 8 pounds. Your species of fish is different. Does it have a red stripe under its throat like ours do? Our rainbow have a red stripe on their side. If you lok at the photo you will see the red stripe on its throat.

Hello Ernie

I`m always pleased to meet other fishermen ,I also fish a little when i get the chance.
I noticed you call this fish Cutthroat, over in the uk we call them rainbows I believe this is native to the us, is this the same type of fish?
