About The sea was rough but not for this fellow. He went in any way. But he didn't enjoy and had to leave very soon after his venture. Nevertheless, a brave young full-blooded male.

great image .. I like the contrast the yellow offers. Very dramatic. Good portfolio too. I am from Waterford Ireland .. 3 months on USefilm which is the best I have ever used.

Ken, beautiful shot. I love the soft tones of color brought to life by the yellow surfboard.

The yellow surfboard makes an excellent combination with the pale green background! The low clouds finish it off. Well done!

Great with the low clouds .. and you had plenty of light in the foreground, so making a beautiful shot .. regards, PEter. Same remark as Hugo about the horizon, the sea is running out of water like this ;-))

Hi Ken, is it just me, or my lack of English knowledge, but what Strom are you talking about? Quite a stormy atmosphere, though. Great shot, very moody.

I would've straightened out the horizon, though. But that's about it.... Great atmosphere, and the dauntless surfer adds a great deal of tension. The thing that makes this shot is the low clouds lining the mountains in the background, though. Superbly strong image.

Cheers,

Hugo

Jim,

Thank you for pointing it out. I never noticed. Its a simple tilt in the camera causing the horrizon to tilt.

It becomes more obvious to a trained eye and as you pointed out placing the subject close to the horrizon makes it more noticeable.

Regards,
ken.

Nicely composed and excellent exposure. The yellow board really helps draw the eye to the surfer. One thing to be careful of is leveling your image to the horizon or water level. As is it looks like the ocean is draining to the left.

Surfers always surf no matter what!!

Sadly they go surfing even when there has been a sewage spill (which should not happen but it does)

They are very BRAVE guys indeed (and some girls):)

Great image, love the powerful background, it's really nice.

Lori ;)
