Great atmosphere.
It love the brownish colors. They add to the feeling that this picture was taken years back. It really looks like a WWII scene. Fantastic shot.

> your scatological title.

Wot!??!
After they meet you, do many aromatherapists go home in tears, drink a whole bottle of vodka and not get up the next morning?
:))))
My guess is you mean something else.

> tanker truck, which I suppose is delivering oil?

It is a rubbish collection truck.

> I assume this is quite an old photograph since the colours seem to have faded.

From 1986, and the film is not faring well, but the colours in the scan are more or less as they were.
It was a rather brown day.

> I like the brown eastern bloc feel to it.

There was a lot more variety in the East than many people think! Some days were grey, and occasionally, you could even get yellow things in the shops.

> Add a cohort of East German border guards marching down the street in formation, and you'd have something classic!

You've given yourself away here: You work at a British Embassy somewhere, don't you??
Bet you do... :0)

Lots of love

There is something very odd and interesting about this photograph, not least your scatological title. I can only guess that it refers to the tanker truck, which I suppose is delivering oil? I assume this is quite an old photograph since the colours seem to have faded. That's good, I like the brown eastern bloc feel to it. Add a cohort of East German border guards marching down the street in formation, and you'd have something classic! Rgds, Svend
