Well, after looking them over, I came back to this one as my favorite. I agree that the DOF could have standed to be a little broader, but I thought the shell and navel reminded me of one of those 'coin rolling (can't think of the right word) cones. Nice series to put all together as one.

Hi Verena,

this one is excellent in composition but the defocus of the hair on the foreground compromised the final result.

Actually the series, together, looks stronger than any of the images alone. But in my opinion II tops it. Let's wait for IV... It's getting hotter ;-)

My best,

José Azevedo

Hi Verena, The tension mounts. But in stead of commenting on the series as a whole (I'll keep that to the last one), I don't like this one as much as I do the previous one. The DOF is a bit too shallow (wow. I'd never expected to say that a few months ago....;o) and the proximity between belly button is a bit too close. A bit more space between them would've built up the tension a bit stronger, I believe. Great series. Can't wait till the next one....)

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Ian,

part 4 is close behind the door, check out tomorrow...

lets see where it ends, the last one will be a bit different, I'm very interested in the comments on the end of the story

Cheers,
Verena

I thought surely a triptych (it looks like it'll nestle there and collect nickel) or does it sense a faint whiff of sea food beyond in 'part' 4?

From the B&W abstracts to the sensual colour pictures... Both very good, Verena. Beautiful series...
