About San Galgano is a church that was never completed in Tuscany. It's an amazing place for quiet contemplation and reflection. It was raining on and off when we were there.

Itlay is so off the chart. Can't wait to go back some day. Unfortunately the dollar is still deep in the toilet and the euro is strong....maybe next year?

Italy is a very nice place, isn't it?:))
Really good the cut and the reflection, then the church makes all:)
Best regards.

Thanks as always Thilo for your insight. I might try this masking and multiplying technique. Cheers,
Erik

Thanks Merete. I have several other versions where the tilting is not as severe, but I went with this one for its drama.
Ciao,

Dear Erik,

nice composing with tilted horizon and the desaturated colors. Nice to see some sky fragements as a reflection whereas the sky itself is "pale". You may enforce the reflection effect via PS (masking the water and then multiply the layer).

Take care,
Thilo

Thanks Jane. That's a good point. I like that about it also.

I think you made the right choice, not to change the sky. I love the fact that you can see the definition of the clouds in the reflection in the puddle and can't see them in the sky itself!

Regards, Jane

I'm really glad that you didn't change the sky in P.S. That trick stuff drives me crazy, unless you really tweak it to the extreme and make it an abstract. Otherwise it feels gimicky.

Ken,
Yep. I know what you mean. I tried messing with the sky in PS but kept coming back to this. Thanks man.

Erik, this one is O.K., but not one of my favorites. I realize that it was overcast, but I'm not crazy about the blown out sky.
