You are so right. The 50 1.4 is such a hard lens to use for portraits when open. Any slight movement by either subject or photographer will render the subject OOF.

so very sweet! The image is a little soft because (if you look very carefully) the lens has focused on the 'Nuk' writing on the dummy (pacifier). You'll also see that the strawberry is in focus as it is on the same plane as the dummy.Only a few centremetres are in focus at f2! I really like this in bw and it looks all nice and snugly.

Sebastian - How precious this little strawberry must be. My children are grown and having children. I have 2 grandsons and another grandchild on the way. Children are a blessing from the Lord. Thanks for sharing your child with us at UF. -- Debby

Sebastian, You must be very proud of your little strawberry. Thanks for sharing your special moments with all of us here. I would not have guessed that you shot this at ISO 1600! Wow! That's some very low noise there! The image is silky smooth - indicative of ISO 100-400 in film. You must be pleased with the Mark II with results like this... Keep 'em coming. Sam
