About Tim said about the antelope, I don't know how you get so close. how is this Tim ? ;-) actually this picture isn't the kind you would print, but it proves moose get bloodshot eyes.

you know this is one beautiful photo.....I know you like the full thing but this one as so much appeal to me, it has become more artistic in vision and in many ways gives the viewer even more to wonder about and feel. if you have more like this one I'd love to see them!!!!....!!!!

A very excited Tim
P.S. thanks for the dedication

Lee as I told Jim Gamble about 25 feet or so. I drove into this old road which is the access to the canoe launching area for the snake river. the road is about 1 car wide. I pulled off into the brush when i saw this moose in the river feeding. he cam out of the river I was on the north side of the road he was on the south and down a bit. So I guess 25 to 30 feet is pretty close. This is near Moran Junction.

Nice Jim....ya been holding out on us ;)
This is a great capture and very nice rack.
The red eye does make him look angry.
I also wonder how close you was.

JIm
here is the deal, I was photographing him eating in the river , ( see earlier posts) he decided to leave the river and I was in his way. this photo was taken at about 20 feet ? he stopped gave me this shot and then walked by me. Once he got by I resumed my shooting as he worked his way into the woods. he had his girlfriend with him and I think that was a good distraction. Now a month later when he is in the rut, No way !!!

Ok Jim, how did you get so close to the moose?
Without getting your head smashed in, which I know moose can do?
This is a really good shot, and their eyes are bloodshot.
