And beautiful hats they are.. I'm sure it's due the time of the year that people get interested in fungi. I don't have an special interest in them as such other than for the nice images they make. So in the weekend its a nice excuses to go for a walk with the camera.. ;)

Many thanks.

I have to agree with you in terms of its lack of X-Factor or whatever it is that makes a good photo brilliant. But I still can't understand what draws people to look at it without going further.

I guess its either a size thing - the thumbnail looks more promising than the final image or people are searching for something that has "hats" in the Title and then look out of curiousity.

Hi Neil, I agree with you that it's weird this shot has not received a single comment so far with a considerable amount of views. At least you have received one now...;o) I can't see why the title would put people off.

Giving honest and indepth comments on a frequent basis will help your work get more noticed and is likely to generate more comments on your work as well....

As to this photo:

I do like your approach to the subject, not very often seen, and well closed up to the subjects. IMO, it lacks a specific eye-catcher to take it completely out of the ordinary (something in the shot that creates a bit of tension and make it a bit more dynamic, if you know what I mean), but it's well composed, and I like the tones in this one too.
