I am learning interesting things about studio photography from your and the discussion - thanks. Tech pan 25 - another discontinued Kodak film... Beautiful here though. I also got a 1920's feeling - maybe partly because her hat looked a little like a flight cap :-)

She feels right outta 1929 to me...almost as if you've captured another reality..shes in her "natural state"...even her features speak
of a different era...very cool.

Thanks, Cindi, for your comment.

I guess it has a retro feel, but I was thinking more David Bowie - ala Ziggie Stardust.

"Ground control to Major Tom ... can you hear me ..."

Bill this reminds me of Elton John's "Rocket Man" - - love the high key lighting and the very obvious texture/creases of her "tin foil" suit! Visually very interesting. Contrast very strong here. Well done. Kind Regards, Cindi

I appreciate all who took time to comment.

And Scott, I made the choice of a low iso film to control the contrast and hold the detail in this situation, which I was pleased with. I am glad you agree for the most part.

I went for F 5.6 to reduce the effect of a hard edge and added back some contrast in Photoshop to accentuate the properties of the silver lame.

The material itself - which does not stretch well - seems to have flattened her chest a bit, so maybe this is what you are referring to.

Thanks again, Bill

A strong image you've made and well handled.
Very brave choice in the shiny fabric and you have almost pulled it off with very little flairing.
The model seems relaxed especially for a squatting position like this one.
Clothing choice as stated was exceptional down to the hat.
Detail is being lost at the edges as you have to expect with such a low speed film though its probably on the neg.
Tonal range is superb as too the sharpness.
Watch the elbows and knees as they seem a little bright. The hair could be burnt in a bit.
About the chest it seems an odd at the nipples.
