About Veit Stoss was a famous sculptur, who came to Cracow from Nürnberg in 1477.He carved magnificent wooden altar in St.Mary`s Church in Cracow.Among other important works are The Altar from Bamberg and some other sculptures in Nuremberg including the Annunciation
and Tobias and the Angel.

Hegel ,a famous philosopher, was the forrunner to Marx`s theory of history, but unlike Marx,Hegel was an idealist, also glorified the claiming, that it was God`s work, was perfect, and was the culmination of all human history.
For those, who are interested in the incredible biography of Hegel, look at Hegel.Net-Homepage.

the name at the right side is Albrecht Dürer,Nürnbergs most famous Painter.

Hi Hugo, many thanks for your kind comment and proposal,to convert it to BW.I tried it,and posted it,and I believe,It works well in BW.I?m not sure about contrast and the right side...too bright. But I think,I prefer the BW version.
Thanks for passing by,
Ursula

Hi Ursula, Nice composition, simple, yet rather dynamic. The textures, and various points of interst create a good reportive capture of the Nurenberg landmark. As the tones and colours are a bit dull by nature and maybe because it was a cloudy day, I think this one would also come out well as a B&W image, but the textures are very well captured in colour. Good shot, and very well composed.

Cheers,

Hugo

To In Transit:But then I must add, that Dürer was a gifted aquarelliste too,and his aquarells (many of his journeys)look very actuell with regard to the future...

The thumb-nail does no justice to this capture!

The perspective is superb... the sandstone suggests the strength of the artistes' works... while have to say that Herr Dürer was more of a pen&ink and an engraver quite aside from a painter...

Superb!

Hi Ursula,

Lg,
Thilo
