About	During the 1920s, the energy requirements of the rising lowland industries led to the construction of colossal hydroelectric works that radically changed the alpine stream network. In 1959, the artificial lake of Pian Palù (at 1802m altitude Val di Peio-Stelvio National Park) was completed. Holiday July 2004
