a variety of photographs taken at a rice/grain storage silos in the sacramento valley. my lesson was to try and see how many images I could take to convey lines, angles, and shadows that were somewhat minimalist in nature.
I just wanted to see the award page, and couldn't stop my inquisitiveness. I now know what deserves a prize!!! Great work. A perspective few can have....Regards, RD.
Hi Fern, creative shot, well spotted, and very well composed. The extreme portrait format works very well here, as it emphasises the feeling of hight. I do wonder why you converted this one to B&W, as I don't think it adds anything to the atmosphere of the shot. I'd like to see this one in colour, preferably with rich warm tones. Other than that a creative, graphic lay out, and a very interesting image.
