Loving my Nikon. (by the way - Canon are just as good in my opinion - it just depends on which system you're used to. And of course which lenses you have invested in.

I have to say that I will probably sell it in a few months time to upgrade to the D2x. I can't help it now - I am addicted!

I know its dandelion or something, but Its so damn sci-fi. It looks like somesort of jellyfish or a creature from Chuthullu. Insanely good macro. How are you liking your Nikon?

I am really happy with it Trent. I have only had it for four days though. The optics are its high point - I would say that is where the money went because the feel of it is a bit plasticy, however this is what I knew from reviews before I bought it (really light and good for hiking with 4+ lenses). Keep in mind the 2.8 aperture is not throughout the entire focus range - however even if it was, you wouldn't use it for 1.1 macro beacause the depth of field rould be too narrow.

Works well for tight portraits also. Makes stunningly clear faces against lovely bokeh.

Cheers.

Nice! Not common to see macro in B&W. It looks great. Seems like the Tamron 90mm is a good choise for the D-70?
