Hi Andrej, I was thinking that dirty word (to you) to adjust the image PS.:-D Now you have a digital camera you can check your shots after taking them. With your water shot I would have tried spotmeter on the water then adjusted the compensation after looking at the results. Or maybe two shots exposed for different parts of the image then combined them in PS. Regards, Graham.

I do not know how does my images look on your screens; they somehow seems fine to me on my computer...(i think so). the waterfall was a problem however and so was the flower. It was summer and when traveling you can not choose the time of the day to make a shot. It was also tricky to what to adjust the light; the waterfall was bright and the rocks are grey and in the shade... when sun falls into the water drops in the air they also increase the power... So yes, waterfall is a bit bright but i am afraid that in other case the surrounding area would become to dark?! the flower was a midday shot too... everything was bright foreground and background. I do not know how to make it darker and to bring up the power of yellow of the flower?
Thanks for your allways constructive critics - they help a lot!

Hi Andrej a good start with a very unusual flower which I've never seen before. Agree with a lot of what Hugo said. I think also the level needs turning down as it's a bit too bright. This also brings out the colour more. Your waterfall shot seemed overbright as well on my monitor. Is your monitor set OK? Regards, Graham.

Hi Andrej, interesting and effective combination of colours. It seems a bit yellow all over (in the background too) Nice shot. As to the composition, I think taking this shot from a few inches to the left would've placed the foremost flower more to the right, thus creating a stronger diagonal set up, as well as filling the right hand side of the image more. Cutting off a few of the red strands would not harm this image much. Well, that's my 2 cents worth about the composition... The DOF is well handled. Keep up the experimenting!
Cheers,
Hugo
