The German parliament moved to the old Reichstag in Berlin in April 1999. One of the most impressive attributes of the building is the new dome built by architect Lord Norman Foster as part of the renovation in the 1990?s. The dome contains a mirror construction that redirects daylight into the main parliament meeting room (http://www.bundesbaugesellschaft.de/en/rtg.htm)
The mirror construction under the dome is so tall, that a wide angle lens would not have worked well. The picture you see was stitched together from four individual pictures made with the little Canon S400. If you look closely, you may be able to see the photographer and his son.
Image details: Digital stitch of four landscape images. All pictures are 2272x1704, aperture 2.8, and focal length 7.4mm. The exposure times were 1/636s for the top two, 1/501s for the next, and 1/404s for the bottom image. The resulting stitch is 4555x1994.
