Great capture almost year 50s style, at first seems that this building caught afire, excellent B&W and composition. Saeed

Nice shot Lori, lovely grain effect I appreciate your commenting on my "An intricate world"It wasn't an easy task.,I had to work on manual mode and to concentrate very carefully on the main subject because of the narrow DOF Best regards

Hi Hi Lori!
Wow, when I looked at the thumbnail of this, I thought there was a burned kid in the photo looking out the window. Turned out it was the fireplace. Great window shot, love the contrasts.

Excellent shot Lori, nostalgic. Looke liks a building from a war, the result of the war. Well.... now I read about Alcatraz! Very impressive.... surely Alcatraz was a war zone once appona time. Very good image.

I disagree. I think some happy wallpaper would liven the WHOLE thing up!
Great textures, Lori. I also like the inclusion of pure white in such a dominant place.

Dear Lori, for a second I thought it was a recent shot of the White House since our sudo President has squandered ALL our present and future money on a phoney war - maybe Haliburton (sp?) can fix it up when they're through with their current project in about 8 or 9 years.... Then,I notice your comment that it's Alcatraz - wow, was I off. Funny, but more and more of America is looking like this as dollars and jobs (Outsourcing) prop up other country's standard of living while America crumbles (I'm sure there's a "method to their madness"-these are VERY bright guys). Strange policy on the surface but what do I know. I'm not an expert on this kinda stuff like, say, Dick Cheney so I shouldn't even open my mouth(I might get taken to room 101-was that the room in "Nineteen Eighty Four"?). Great shot, Mark PS. WAITING for the next one.

Very nice effect, Lori! I like the way you've used the empty window frame as a frame. Nice presentation. Oddly enough, I just put up a b/w, too. Dave.
