About Shot off of one of the many bridges that crosses the River Seine.(Bit of recent historical Trivia)- This is probably the last thing Princess Di every saw (only hours later-at night) since her car crash happened to the right, just outside of the frame, on the road that goes along the Seine. After this view the road goes down into the tunnel underneath "Place de l'Alma" where the accident occured.I was in town when it happened and the French were very deeply depressed and shaken for quite a while. The whole thing was very sad and shocking.

Hi Mark,

I remember the moment so well, I know exactly what I was doing when I heard the sad news, she was greatly loved...it was a sad day.

Nice tribute in a way...I like the toning on this image, gives it kind of a mystical feel to it.

Nice work, well done, contrasts wide!!
Lori :)

Hi,Mark
This is an example of how it comes to tension about the rating, it is misunderstanding caused by the malfunction of the rating system. I like the moody scene here, with the land mark at the background, great job, cheers, Saeed

I appreciate you taking the time to clarify this. I hate points or ratings. Just discovered this morning that I could turn that off! lol

Thanks. but a 4 and a 7 logically wouldn't equal 4.8. It would equal a 5.5 (in the middle). If you gave me a 4 than obviously usefilm's calibrations are way off (which is very possible) so my apologies. I don't want all 6's. A 4 is fair if that's how you felt.I noticed alot of people have turned off their rating bar so it's very likely something is not right with the system.

Mark A four is considered a GOOD rating, if you want a 6 on each submission, you should state that in your porfile. I will attempt to avoid your work in the future.

Ya but Michael, you didn't mention the thumbnail, and....ah....that might be where the whole, entire, solution could be hiding.I'm just really confused - It's a puzzle, inside a riddle, wrapped around an enigma. I'm just mystified but thanks for some clarity.Wow, photography's really complicated....I never thought about all this stuff. Mark

I dont know think the sky is overexposed at all. neighter is the foregound underexposed. There is still plenty of detail in the sky. And I believe he was going for a silouette look in the foreground anyways. This makes the image much more moody as mark put it and very dramatic. But to each their own.
Mark I Think this is a great shot and I would hang it on my wall (hint hint haha)

So is that a thumbs up or down? It's suppose to be moody (or I wouldn't put it in - since I bracket 90% of the time this is the one that worked best for what I was going after).I don't know what to tell you. It looked fine on a greeting card and blown up to 11x14 Prints. One person's ceiling is another person's floor. Thanks for stopping by, Mark

The thumbnail shows an overexposed sky. The foreground is underexposed in the full frame. Nice soft colors.
