Hey Great shot! I saw one of those too and we called it a humming bee as well and I looked it up and it actually is called a humming bee. Great job.

It's a type of Sphynx moth (hummingbird hawk moth). I missed one earlier in the year... nice catch! Lucky you... :-)

I think it's a kind of a moth. We have them here too and it's easy to mistake them for a hummingbird. Amazing you could even get close to it.
