About This photo was shot in the Garden of the Gods in Colorado a while ago. After hiking the area the night before, I found an interesting composition, only one problem, this was a morning shot, so back to it the next morning to get it right, the air was so crisp and clear, it was just about spiritual.

cool shot. I tried to visit this place while in CO but wasn't able to.
When I saw the title I thought maybe you meant Garden of the Gods at Shawnee National Forest in Illinois. Some of your other shots are from the midwest so this is why I thought that. That's a really awesome place to go if you get a chance.
cheers,
nicole

I do not agree with this crop, what ever does not add to a photograph, takes away from it. You just took away an important part of the scene. The rocks and roots add to the one thousand year old one seeded juniper and help to tell the story of how it got there in the first place. To me, this photograph is not just about a tree and some rocks, it is a story about the landscape, the way every photograph should be, landscape or otherwise. Thanks for the comments.

Beautiful color and saturation. i'm not sure the foreground of this image adds much to it's impact though. I've attached a cropped version that shows where the strongest part of your image lies. The focus on light and shadow along with contrasting colors is where this image really shines.
