The whole composition is brilliant but its the hand that gets me!! The similarity to a human hand and the sadness that it manages to portray!! Excellent

At first view it appears to be an alien hand, and I was going to remark that I didn't know we were from the same planet!
But now that I have the full size image up I realize that is a hand of a primate, and I think it is sad that it is locked in a cage. This image is very powerful and unlocks a lot of emotion here.

Tremendous and powerful image, you say more with this shot of the hand than showing the whole animal behind the fence which would be too familiar. This shocks because it is familiar in a different way, the long fingers and thumb and just the way the hand seems to forlornly rest between the wires, utterly resigned.
