Henri may have loved it. I don't see the beard aside from a generation x style thin brazilian goatie under the lip. I suppose none of that is any consellation. You idiot pushing save! Ohh that's the worst. Often find a piecethat needs just a I want to work on and find I've "saved", usually in a way smaller size. Hmmm castigation is not in the counselling texts as helpful either. What hilights there are on her face are nice. I just remember doing some work on photos one way (dragging up gammas I think) and finding I'd generate a lot of noise, but then tried some function on photoshop which allowed me to align the outputs of a photos potential scale of light and dark qualities with a histogram, dragging only the midpoint up (i.e. 50/50 grey I suppose) with the lowest point of the histogram. No idea what I was doing really but I found that more subtly pulled the details out of the dark.

This was a product of almost no light at all....I tried to tweak it in photoshop...lost patience...hit "save" instead of "save as" and oops..well this is all I've got for now. I plan to go back and blur shadows..do more extensive work...I really like this image alot..too bad.

a.e. was this a product of your lightening it? Intersting effect as it is with the digital fizz... I've just been trying to pull some shots up I took in low light too. If you have worked this could you post up a fragment of the before shot? It looks to me here as if you singled your subject out for the working and have put her in a slightly displaced light environment.

Very honest comment and interesting bio. An artist, eh? You have a very eclectic portfolio. Variety is what makes the journey worthwhile. I am off to look at a few more of your posts. Jim
