I like this one very much! Great contrast between fore- and background, and very nice light on the (rapeseed?) flowers.

Thx Keith, i experience that F8 to F11 normally give very pleasing pictures out of my kitlens (300D) .. and when taking a landscape picture, normally i focus somewhere in the middle .. except when i want to make sure something is IN focus .. regards, Peter

I just love the DOF on this and the graphic quality of the trees backdrop to the yelloe flowers .
Tell me, you set the apperture to f8, was that in order to get the best dof without getting into trouble with defraction at smaller apps? How far out did you focus ?

Very well done Peter. Love the various layers of tones and textures. I may be tempted to crop the lower sixth to get rid of the white cement background behind the flowers. It would make it slightly less busy and put focus on the entire image leading the eye to the misty horizon. Just a thought. Great capture!

This is beautiful. I think this works really well in color, and I like that you can't see the tops of the trees. The flowers in the front seem to be swaying in the breeze, while the trees stand tall and strong in the background. Just lovely, esp. with no leaves on the trees~
