About
This picture was shot with a sheet of polarizing film held in front of the camera. One of the docents at the Japanese Friendship Garden had it for visitors to look through. Holding the sheet up to the pond you could not see the water line. So when I took the shot with this thing in front of my camera, the water almost disappears. I like the way this picture turned out. It looks like the fish are just laying around. There are just a few clues that they are actually deep below the surface of the water. The cool sun sparkles are reflecting off a fish that is supposed to be the most expensive fish in the pond - wish I could remember its name. It was black with a white tail and fins, and the skin appeared smooth, without scales.
