Interesting comp. to which the bird adds a great deal. Wonderful lighting and tones that really set a mood, along with turbulent waters that put life into this shot. I feel that the rose border highlight is in conflict with the feeling of the image as a whole.

Another excellent scenic, James! I like your composition with the trees, both fallen and standing, with the waves crashing in.

Thanks for the comment Jorg. Yes, I thought about the tilt of the landscape and decided not to do anything about it(at first I thought it enhanced the scene. But, now that you have mentioned it I went in and straightened the master tif file. I left my raw file as is.

The wildness of the sea and the bleakness of the dead and uprooted trees is very well enhanced by the shallow color scheme. Moody landscape. To me a little distracting is the tilt of the horizon to the left. The bird is just great and in perfect position. Best regards! Jorg
