It's not too dark until it disappears completely. You can tell from the tree that it's still light outside but this building seems to be lighted by another source, maybe light reflected by the trees in front of it or something. Just adds to the moody spooky atmosphere.

Moody.. yes. Like a caretakers cabin. Christine nailed it right on the head about it looking as if a graveyard was in back. But it's a peaceful looking place. I'd love to live there :) Very nice shot, done the " Shameless" way.

No, not too dark at all IMHO. That is what gives it that wonderful moody atmosphere. The wood trim glows with golden light and the wood is deep and richly textured. The last of the light is still peeking around the corner lighting up the foliage and showing hints of the great old staked fence which almost looks like there is a cemetery back there. An excellent soft lit capture Shameless.
