Nicely Done! I have tried taking shots with my 70-300 non IS lens and was not able to achieve as much detail as you did. I have had better luck using an ezpix adapter coupled to my telescope eyepiece.

Thank you so much Elisa, I had to crop allot of it out since my lens will only zoom to 480mm with the 1.6 digital factor. I was really surprised at how well this turned out. I've had better luck using the Image Stabilized hand held than I have without it using a tripod.

Thanks Jeff, they really are nice lenses. I love mine and have had a great time using it and not having to haul around a tripod is even better.

Thanks Marvellina but I think if you had my camera and lens you would get a better shot than I did. The pictures you take are so wonderful and artistic? to me they are studio type quality as mine are just what?s around the house and city stuff. You mentioned in your bio that you are a beginner but in my opinion I think you are way beyond that. Keep up the good work and thanks for all your comments.

Thanks Steve, this is the cheapest (money wise) IS lens you can get and still cost me $600 .. I think it was worth every penny though. I would have lost or not been able to take half my pix if it was not for this lens ... I hate hauling around a tripod or monopod. Another thing is this lens is still street friendly compared to the other HUGE IS lenses.

An excellent moonscape, for only a 300mm this capture deserves a 7.

Awesome shot for hand-held, Stewart! That IS really does work! Did you use exposure comp at all, and if so, how much?
